Sunday Worship

Sunlight Service

9.30 - every two months, Approximately 1 hr in length.
This is an informal worship session aimed at families. Music is usually contemporary and provided on a variety of instruments. There is an element of discussion within the meeting.

Morning Worship

10.30am (10.45am if the Sunlight service is on the same day) Approximately 1 hr in length.
This offers traditional worship. The Methodist Hymns & Psalms Hymn book is the main source of music, supplemented with more contemporary music from time to time. There is regular all age worship planned throughout the year.

S Club Stars

10.30 - S Club Stars is our Junior Church. They join the main service either at the start of the service or to participate in communion at the end of Morning Worship. More age appropriate activities are provided during the rest of Morning worship separately.

Evening Worship

On Sunday evenings we share in worship with the other churches in the Circuit as shown in the Circuit Plan.

Church Building

Horton Bank Methodist Church began on its present site in 1871 in a small wooden chapel. Increased demand led to the building of the present church in 1926 and the community building from 1961. Further demand means that the premises have recently been upgraded to meet the needs of present and potential users in the 21st century.

Location

Horton Bank Methodist Church
891 Great Horton Road
Horton Bank Top
Bradford
BD7 4AQ

Horton Bank is situated on a major arterial road leading from Bradford to Halifax (A647).
The church is the only community facility serving this multi-cultural residential area. Sited in the centre of the Horton Bank area, it is an ideal point from which to reach the neighbourhood and, indeed, also serves as a well-known local landmark in the community.
It is easily accessible by public transport with bus stops for both directions (Bradford and Halifax) situated in front of the building.
Horton Bank does not have a car park. However, free on street parking is available on the main road and side streets.
